Star Alliance Awards are applicable for Award travel on one Star Alliance airline, excluding THAI, or on two or more Star Alliance airlines, which may include THAI.

Award travel is valid on Star Alliance operated flights only.
|
|

Awards are for round-trip travel on the most direct route possible, and must return to the country of origin.
|
|
—
|
One enroute stopover in each direction is permitted per Award journey. One openjaw at point of turnaround or origin is also permitted per Award journey.
|
|
—
|
No stopover is permitted in country of origin.
|
|
—
|
No stopover is permitted on pure domestic travel.
|
|
—
|
Backtracking is only permitted as required by the Star Alliance network. Stopovers are not permitted when backtracking.
|
|
—
|
Mixing classes of service for Award travel is not permitted.
|
|
—
|
First Class Award travel may not be available on all sectors due to aircraft operations. However, First Class Award redemption will be applied to the entire Award journey.
|
|

|
All taxes associated with Award travel are the responsibility of the member, and may be collected at Award ticket issue, or during the Award journey.
|
|
—
|
Change of carrier not permitted after ticket issue.
|
|
—
|
After travel commences a fee of us $50.00 is applied for reservation changes.
|
|
—
|
Star Alliance Award ticket validity and conditions are subject to Royal Orchid Plus Award rules

Award travel, both international and domestic, must be completed within 1 year of the ticket issue date.
|

Prior to ticket issue flight dates, routing, provided Award travel remains in the same zone, and the ticket holder name, member or Nominee, can be changed.

All other changes require mileage to be re-credited and a new Award requested. Allow 3 working days for mileage re-credit.
|
|

|
After ticketing, travel dates or flight numbers for domestic travel can be changed at no cost. Destinations changes within Thailand are subject to a service fee of Thai Baht 1,140 or USD $30.00.
|
|

|
No mileage re-credit is permitted for domestic Award tickets.
|
|
—
|
For international travel, only flight dates or numbers can be changed, without a fee. No other changes are permitted, but mileage can be re-credited subject to a service fee of Thai Baht 3,800 or USD $100.00, and a new Award requested. Routing changes or mileage re-credit after travel has commenced is not permitted.

Totally unused and valid international Award tickets can be returned for mileage re-credit, subject a service fee of Thai Baht 3,800 or USD $100.00.
|

|
Lost or stolen international Award tickets can be reissued, subject to a service fee of Thai Baht 3,800 or USD $100.00, and mileage re-credit for these tickets in part or full is not permitted.

For Award re-credit, any expired miles contained in the Award will not be re-credited.

THAI only may issue Award tickets. All Award travel within Thailand is e-ticketed, paper tickets are no longer issued.

No stopovers or connecting flights are permitted for Award travel within Thailand.
|
|
—
|
International Award travel within zones 1-7 allows one stopover in each direction between origin and destination without fees.
|
|
—
|
One open jaw at point of turnaround or origin, within the same country, is also allowed without fees. Backtracking is not permitted.
|
|
—
|
International Award to/from a destination in Thailand that requires a flight connection must continue on the first available flight, for example: London-Chiang Mai via Bangkok. However one stopover during the Award journey is permitted subject to a service fee of Thai Baht 1,900 or USD $50.00.

Backtracking is only permitted on intercontinental Award travel. Stopovers when backtracking, for example Kuala Lumpur-Bangkok-Sydney, are subject to a service fee of Thai Baht 1,900 or USD $50.00, with a maximum of 2 stopovers, and 1 stopover in each direction.

|
An onward connecting flight within 24 hours is not considered a stopover.
|
|
—
|
All taxes and surcharges associated with Award travel are the responsibility of the member or ticket holder and may be collected at ticket issue or during the Award journey.
