Information and Conditions Suvarnabhumi International Airport  

 Suvarnabhumi International Airport

Suvarnabhumi International Airport was set by Thai Government Committee to open on 28Sep06. In order to facilitate ROH customers, kindly observe following points:

A. Passengers who wish to stay near new Suvarnabhumi Airport, we have set up 4 new tour codes as follows:

Effective 27Sep06-31Mar07

ROR/APT1S - Suvarnabhumi Airport Stopover

ROR/DAP1S - Suvarnabhumi Airport Stay a while

ROR/APT2S - Suvarnabhumi Airport Stopover (Novotel Suvarnabhumi)

ROR/DAP2S - Suvarnabhumi Airport Stay a while (Novetel Suvarnabhumi)

Hotels used for the above packages are:

- Novotel  Suvernabhumi Airport
(The only walking distance hotel that locates in the same compound of airport)

- Novotel Bangna

- Royal Princess Srinakrin

- Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok

It takes approx 25 minutes from the above 3 hotels to the new airport. Fyi, more hotels will be added in the system soon.

Hotel within transit hall still not finalize. Further news will be advised.

B. Passengers holding confirmed ROH/ROR booking at Amari Airport, Asia Airport, Rama Garden or Miracle Grand on or after 28Sep06, please ensure that passengers are aware of following Points:-

- No transfer will be provided from these hotels to the new airport during transitional period. Selling office should ask pax to buy car optional transfer/-CAROP1- or pax must arrange own transportation.

- ROH vouchers issued for hotels under item B are not transferable. If pax want to stay near to new airport, please suggest them to rebook above tour codes. Re-issue fee is authorized to waive. The existing booking must be cancelled before cancellation dateline (before 3 days for ROR / 7 days for ROH) otherwise late cancellation / no show condition per normal procedure must be applied.

Basic Facts Suvarnabhumi Airport

Domestic and International flights will arrives and depart at Suvarnabhumi Airport. The Passenger Terminal Complex has 7 levels including 2 underground. Level 2 is for arriving and level 4 is for departing passengers for domestic and international flights.

The following procedure is planned for arriving passengers who have pre-arranged airport transfers after cleaning customs and baggage inspection, passengers are required to go down to level 1 where a large area with counters has been allocated for arriving passengers needing assistance. Representative will be waiting to meet you at this designated area. If you cannot find our representative, please contact the ATTA staff for assistance. The transportation will be called in after you have met our representative. It takes about 7 minutes for the vehicle to come up. Car or bus is not allowed to park at exit of level 2. They must be in the parking lot at the North of the airport allocated for appointed ground operators only.

Arriving passengers without pre-arrangement can proceed to the exit on level 2 or up to level 3 to meet friends or relatives who come to pick them up.

Airport departure taxes at the new airport will increase from THB 500 TO THB 700 per person for passengers departing on international flights and from THB 50 to THB 100 for domestic flights. Please note that currently domestic airport tax is already included in the airfare. From February 1st, 2007 onward, the international airport departure tax THB 700 will also included the airfare.

Airport of Thailand Public Company Limited will also operate their own airport limousine service. New taxis with well trained drivers are also available from Suvarnabhumi Airport. A few car rent companies will also be available.

BTS skytrain is being built to link the new airport. The special airport train will also be constructed. Both BTS skytrain and special airport train will have their stations in the underground of the Passenger Terminal Complex. A large airport terminal including check-in facilities will be built near Bangkok Railway Station.

The Capacity of the open air parking area is 1000 cars and 2 parking building each can accommodate 5000 cars. The parking buildings are linked with level 3.
