The financial statements for the three - month and six - month periods ended March 31, 2005 with a clarification
For the three - month period ended March 31, 2005, the Company and its subsidiaries posted a net profit of THB 3,491 million, a decrease of THB 1,768 million or 33.6% compared to the same period last year. Due to the impact of Tsunami disaster, the Company has reduced its flight frequency. As a result, revenues from the sale of goods and the rendering of service for the three - month period amounted to THB 38,731 million, a decrease of THB 592 million or 1.5%. For the same period, selling and administrative expenses increased by THB 3,175 million or 10.4% from last year due to higher average fuel cost. Fuel expenses increased by THB 1,596 million or 21.7%. The Company has a THB 713 million gain on foreign exchange for the period due to a stronger Baht, versus a loss of THB 342 million for the same period last year.
Net profit for the six - month period ended March 31, 2005 decreased from the same period last year of THB 301 million or 3.2% due to higher average of fuel price.
