Thai Airways International Public Company Limited has submitted the financial statements for the three - month periods ended December 31, 2003 which were reviewed by the Office of the Auditor General.
The operating result for the three - month periods ended December 31, 2003 of the Company appears a net profit of Baht 4,349 million, an increase of Baht 840 million compared to the same period last year. The revenues from the sale of goods and the rendering of services increase amount of Baht 1,677 million or 4.6% compared to the same periods last year due to the increase in passenger capacity (ASK) by 2.7% and cabin factor by 73.2% as compared to 72.0% at the same period last year. While selling and administrative expenses increase amount of Baht 507 million or 1.7%, less than the increase in production (ATK).
As a result, a profit from the sale of goods and the rendering of service increases amount of 1,170 million from the same period last year.
However, the Company occurs a loss on foreign currency exchange amount of Baht 409 million in this three - month periods, an increase of Baht 337 million compared to the same period last year.
